WHAT DO I DO?With a background in broadcast meteorology and degrees in meteorology, climatology, and geography, I explore the relationships between our built environment, the atmosphere, and human health and comfort.
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo in Canada. I head the Crankyweather Research Lab, dedicated to exploring the relationships between the built environment, heat, and human health. We explore these relationships in the context of cities such as Phoenix and Singapore. ABOUT ME

Keynote speaker at the Climate Adaptation and REsilience (CARE) Conference focusing on adaptations to extreme heat in relation to mental health. The conference was hosted by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
